Uzbekistan's specialized foreign trade company Uztrade for the first time in the history of the country exported fresh Uzbek melons to the U.S..
The company sent the first batch of melon in volume of one ton to the Trade House Uz-American Trade Corp in New York (USA), Uzbek media reports.
Uztrade JSC also concluded export contracts worth $ 5.1 million for the supply of ready-made textile, dried fruit and vegetable and other domestic products to the U.S.
Uztrade JSC operating under the Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan opened a new Trading House in New York in September 2017.
The trading house was opened to increase the volume of export supplies, strengthen the positions in the US market and ensure consistent and multifaceted development of bilateral relations.
Uztrade JSC noted that the showroom of the goods of Uzbek producers will constantly operate on the basis of the Trade House.
