( Irna ) - Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaei here on Monday said Tehran is determined to continue constructive cooperation with the IAEA in order to resolve the remaining issues.

In a meeting with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei, he announced that Iran's nuclear policies will not change.

Meanwhile, the Iranian envoy welcomed the IAEA cooperation with the Islamic Republic so that the remaining issues would be resolved.

He also appreciated ElBaradei's approach regarding Iran's nuclear issue and his emphasis on settlement of the issue through dialogue, stated in his address to the UN General Assembly.

Criticizing the US unilateral approach toward Iran, Khazaei said such measures are in fact ignoring and humiliating the efforts of the IAEA and the international community.

He underlined the need for paying due attention to Iran's inalienable right of pursuance of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

For his part, ElBaradei expressed satisfaction with the growing process of Iran-IAEA bilateral talks and called for continuation of the negotiations until the achievement of final settlement of the issue.

He expressed hope that the ongoing negotiations between the Iranian officials and the IAEA team to Tehran would be fruitful.
