The average price of residential units per square meter in the Iranian capital city of Tehran over the last Iranian calendar month ending Feb. 20 stood at 55.1 million rials (about $1,229 according to free market rates).

According to the Central Bank of Iran, the average price has increased by 22.3 percent compared to the same period of last year.

In the meantime, the report indicates a 17.7 percent jump in the number of sales of residential apartments over the last calendar month in Iran’s capital Tehran, the country’s largest capital market.

According to the statistics, 18,400 residential apartments were traded in the capital city in the mentioned period, indicating a 17.7 percent increase compared to the same period of last year.
