BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has denied the contents of the Fars agency's publication on the reasons for the crash of the helicopter of the President of the Iran Ebrahim Raisi, Trend reports.
"Fars agency's information that one of the factors in the helicopter crash was the presence of two more passengers on board, contrary to safety protocols, which is why the helicopter did not have enough power to gain the required altitude, is false," the Iranian General Staff's public relations department said in a statement.
The department demanded that the media coordinate with it the publication of news on defense and security topics, "not sacrifice accuracy for the sake of speed, and not give enemies a reason for abuse."
