BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. The Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan conducted an audit of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline construction project last year, said the regulatory body's chairperson, Vugar Gulmammadov, Trend reports.
In his address during the discussion of the "Report on the Activities of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024" at the Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Gulmammadov highlighted the vital importance of collaboration with stakeholders in their work.
"During the reporting year, as the Supreme Audit Institution of Azerbaijan, we participated in a prestigious international event hosted in our country. At the event titled ‘Where Are Governments in Their Climate Actions? – Results of the Climate Scanner Assessment, we engaged in discussions with our international counterparts.
For the first time, we were elected to the Governing Board of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI). Additionally, a parallel audit was conducted with a colleague Supreme Audit Institution, covering the Iğdır-Nakhchivan gas pipeline construction project," the Chairperson said
