BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15.​ Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have discussed the ongoing indirect negotiations between Iran and the US in the Omani capital Muscat, Trend reports, citing the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a telephone conversation, the foreign ministers of Iran and Türkiye deliberated on the advancements of the indirect negotiations between Iran and the US, in addition to bilateral and regional relations.

Iran's Foreign Minister praised Türkiye's constructive stance on the discussions and shared Iran's principled position with his Turkish counterpart.

The Turkish Foreign Minister also welcomed the negotiation process and affirmed Türkiye's readiness to support the talks in any form.

Furthermore, various consular issues were deliberated upon during the phone call.

On April 12, indirect talks between Iran and the US on Iran’s nuclear program were held in Muscat, Oman. The discussions, led by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and the US Special Representative for Middle East Affairs, Steve Winkoff, were described as constructive and based on mutual respect. The next round of talks is scheduled for April 19.
