(Irna) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Monday that the government will try to lower the inflation rate and consumer expenditures.
The president told the domestic and foreign reporters that Iran has experienced liquidity growth in recent years.
"We will have the growth in the current year (started March 21), too. But, we intend to direct liquidity towards investment." He said the main program of the government is to tackle inflation.
"We will follow up this policy. We have managed to move in this direction to some extent in the past eight months," said the president.
