Britain Terror Plot Rattles Istanbul Stock Exchange

(Zaman) - Shares in the Istanbul Stock Exchange dropped 1.2 percent during Thursday morning session following the news of a bomb scare against US airline planes at Londons Heathraw airport.

The market opened with a sharp decline and continued to drop steadily during the first half of the day. The index dropped to 37,031 points while the trade volume was 745 million New Turkish Liras, reports Trend.

The index fell to 36,723 points at its lowest level during the day, rising to 37,563 points at its highest.
