Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the false image of building nuclear weapon by Iran should be disclosed for all in the world.
In a meeting with senior military commanders, Rouhani said that the Islamic Republic has never been seeking to build nuclear weapons, and this issue should be disclosed for all people in the world, Iran's ISNA news agency reported on June 28.
The enemy is trying to show the Islamic Republic as a menace to the world, he said, adding that the enemy's goal is to make the global community believe that the Iranian government is not willing to collaborate with other nations.
"All of us in the Islamic Republic should stand against such threats," Rouhani said.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in April that it is a myth that his country is trying to develop nuclear weapons, and he accused the U.S. and Israel of posing the real threat to security in the Middle East.
Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) are in intense talks to hammer out a comprehensive nuclear deal by the end of June. The deal is supposed to limit Iran 's nuclear activities on one hand and on the other, remove sanctions on the country's economy.
