Iran's Guardian Council which is in charge of ensuring authentic elections has approved the results of 202 out of 207 districts of recent parliamentary elections.

As for the five remaining districts, one of the lawmaker-elects of Isfahan district may change, Deputy Minister of Interior Hosseinali Amiri said, ISNA news agency reported March 18.

Regarding holding the April runoff by e-voting, he said the Guardian Council has rejected the idea.

The parliamentary election saw a moderate, pro-government coalition of pragmatic conservatives, centrists and reformists winning 136 seats out of 290.

The runoff will see 138 candidates in 21 provinces compete for the remaining seats.

On February 26, Iranians went to the polls in twin elections to choose members of the Parliament and Assembly of Experts.
