Former head of the Constitutional Security Department of Adjara, Temur Pataridze was detained being accused of abuse of office.
The night before, he was summoned to the Prosecutor's Office for questioning as a witness for the second time, and later was arrested.
According to his lawyer, Temur Meskhi, when a person is repeatedly summoned for questioning as a witness, and then arrested without any explanation, it is "nothing more than injustice".
After the parliamentary elections held on Oct.1, 2012, Temur Pataridze worked in Special State Protection Service.
