Tbilisi, Georgia, April 24
By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:
Georgia's Oil and Gas Corporation announced a tender for construction of the 24-kilometer long stretch of Marneuli-Red Bridge gas pipeline.
Earlier the Red Bridge-Tsalka-Akhalkalaki gas pipeline was built in 1978.
However the reliability of using this gas pipeline was put into question due to corrosion on its several sections, so it was decided to build a new pipeline at the Marneuli-Red Bridge section.
The project's estimated cost is 4.13 million laris.
Applications for participation in the tender will be accepted until May 14.
