Argentina' President Cristina Kirchner had high hopes for her country's national squad at the World Cup finals in South Africa, suggesting to "clone" them, DPA reported.
When visiting a clone lab in the city of Marcos Paz on Thursday, Kirchner joked that it would be a good idea to clone striker Lionel Messi or coach Diego Maradona, local newspapers reported.
"A Messi, a (Gonzalo) Higuain, a (Carlos) Tevez, Maradona, a (Juan Sebastian) Veron, everyone," Kirchner said.
Scientists work at the lab to clone sheep, goats and pigs.
