Next James Bond movie set for November 2012
Daniel Craig will return as James Bond in the 23rd instalment of the classic espionage series in November 2012, producers announced Tuesday, according to trade paper Variety.
It will be Craig's third round as the British super spy, following well-received performances in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Sam Mendes is slated to direct, dpa reported.
No title was given for the picture, which will hit screens at the peak of the 50th anniversary of the Bond movie series, which premiered in 1962 with Dr No.
Production of the latest movie had been delayed due to financial troubles at MGM, which is a partner in the rights with EON Productions. The fabled studio underwent a restructuring last month, which allowed plans for the movie to proceed.
