Headscarf hunt at Turkey university bus

After the constitutional court annulled the amendment about allowing headscarf wearing at universities, the student girls wearing headscarf were not allowed into the university school bus in Van, reported World Bulletin.

The students wearing headscarf while going to classes in Van were forced to take out their headscarves at the school bus. Security guards stopped the buses and asked the girls wearing headscarves to take them out.

After the decision of the constitutional court to stop execution of the law giving girls freedom to wear headscarf, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University banned the students with headscarves from entering the classes.

Female students with headscarves were asked to take out their headscarves only before the start of the classes; but now the security guards asked them to take out their headscarves in the school bus.

Some of the students had nervous breakdown and some of them held protests in front of the rector's building.
