Turkish Ambassador in the US Serdar Kilich, who was previously recalled for political consultations, will return to Washington, the Turkish media outlets reported on Thursday.

Kilich will return to Washington today, as was reported.

The day before Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Kilich may return to the US during this week.

The foreign minister noted that Turkey only called him for consultations.

On 14 may Turkey withdrew its ambassadors to Washington and Tel-Aviv for consultations because of Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip, which killed more than 150 Palestinians and injured some 2,700 thousand people.

Earlier, in protest against violence, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim called on the Muslim countries to reconsider their relations with Israel.

Yildirim pointed that Turkey strongly condemns the actions of Israel against the Palestinians.

Turkish foreign ministry also called on the ambassador and general consul of Israel to leave Turkey, after which Israeli diplomats left Turkey. After these events, on 18 may, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held an emergency meeting on situation in Palestine.
