Which goods Turkey exported most to Uzbekistan since early 2019?(Exclusive)

From January through September 2019, the biggest share of Turkey’s exports to Uzbekistan accounted for chemical products and raw materials for textile products, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

During the reporting period, export of chemical products from Turkey to Uzbekistan grew by 17.32 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to $181.6 million.

Raw materials for textile products ranked second in this list, according to the report.

“During the reporting period, the export of raw materials for textile products from Turkey to Uzbekistan increased by 8.52 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $63.6 million,” the report said.

Various metals rank third in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Uzbekistan.

“From January through September 2019, the export of various metals from Turkey to Uzbekistan increased by 38.52 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $56.7 million,” the report noted.

Electrical goods ranks fourth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Uzbekistan, the export of which increased by 2.97 percent, amounting to $52.7 million.

“The next position in this list is taken by steel, the export of which from January to September 2019 decreased by 8.86 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $45.4 million,” the report said.

Textile products rank sixth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Uzbekistan for the nine months of 2019, the export of which increased by 73.89 percent, amounting to $13.5 million.

“The seventh place in this list is taken by cement, the export of which increased by 1.4 times, amounting to $10.7 million,” said the report. “The eighth place is taken by ready textile products, the export of which decreased by 14.52 percent, amounting to $6.9 million.”

Defense industry products rank ninth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Uzbekistan in the nine months of 2019. Their export increased by 5.6 times, amounting to $8.1 million.

“The tenth place is taken by leather goods, the export of which increased by 9.59 percent, amounting to $5.6 million,” reads the report.

From January through September 2019, Turkish exports to Uzbekistan increased by 23.34 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $842.6 million.

Turkey’s foreign trade in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $32.2 billion.

From January through September 2019, Turkey’s total trade amounted to $286.4 billion.
