Turkey’s foreign trade in September 2019 amounted to $32.1 billion, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
During the reporting period, Turkish exports grew by 0.08 percent compared to September 2018, and amounted to $15.2 billion.
“In September 2019, imports to Turkey increased by 0.15 percent compared to the corresponding month of 2018 and reached $16.9 billion,” the ministry said.
During this period, Turkey imported mineral fuel worth $3.3 billion, equipment and machinery worth $1.7 billion, electrical goods worth $1.3 billion, steel and cast iron worth $1.3 billion.
“The remaining share of imports - $9.3 billion – accounted for other types of products,” the ministry said.
The ministry noted that Turkey exported vehicles worth $2.2 billion, equipment and machinery worth $1.5 billion during the reporting period.
“The remaining $11.4 billion accounted for the export of other types of goods,” the ministry said.
From January through September, Turkey’s foreign trade amounted to $286.4 billion.
