The export of jewelry from Turkey to world markets increased by 9.6 percent from January through March 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding $894.6 million, Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
Over the reporting period, Turkey’s jewelry export amounted to 2.1 percent of the country's total export.
In March 2020, export of jewelry from Turkey to world markets dropped by 22.5 percent compared to March 2019, amounting to $230.5 million. Meanwhile, Turkey’s export of jewelry amounted to 1.7 percent of the country's total export.
From March 2019 through March 2020, Turkey’s export of jewelry exceeded 4.1 billion.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in February 2020 exceeded $32.2 billion.
In February 2020, export from Turkey increased by 2.3 percent compared to February 2019, exceeding $14.6 billion.
Turkey's import increased by 9.8 percent in February 2020 compared to the same month of 2019 and exceeded $17.6 billion.
From January through February 2020, Turkey’s trade turnover exceeded $66.1 billion.
