Thematic Index of Citing (TIC), developed by a major Russian search engine Yandex.ru, for Trend Agency (www.Trend.az) totalled 3500 units at the beginning of June. This figure is the highest among the news websites in the South Caucasus. TIC determines the credibility of the resource based on qualitative characteristics of links from other sites. Yandex calls this qualitative description of the links a 'weight'.
According to Google Analytics, in January-May 2013, Trend's website was visited by over 2.260 million people. In May, the number exceeded 535,000. In January-May this year, users viewed more than 11.3 million pages of the website. In May, the number exceeded 2.4 million.
Trend Agency is an independent news agency founded in 1995 in Azerbaijan. Trend is known as a source of reliable and timely information on the politics and economy of the countries of the Caspian region, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
