The Athletes Village will be returned to the company owner after the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku in 2017, Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov said at the press-conference in Baku Dec. 27.
He added that no large-scale sporting events are expected to be held after the Islamic Solidarity Games in Azerbaijan.
"Therefore, the Athletes Village will be returned to the company,” he added. “Afterwards, the houses located there are likely to be put up for sale."
The minister added that in general, $100 million are planned to be allocated for holding the Islamic Solidarity Games.
