Kenan Yavuz, a board member of the Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim, resigned, Haberturk newspaper reported Sept. 6.

According to the report, Ertugrul Aydin was appointed in his place.

Petkim’s management board, elected in March 2016, included head of SOCAR Turkey Enerji Kenan Yavuz, head of Investments Department at Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR Vagif Aliyev, SOCAR Vice President for Refining David Mammadov, SOCAR Vice President for Economic Issues Suleyman Gasimov, SOCAR Turkey Enerji’s representative Farrukh Gasimov, independent members Tevfik Bilgin, Metin Kilci, Mehmet Emin Birpinar and Mehmet Bostan.

Petkim produces plastic packages, detergents, and is the sole Turkish producer of such products.

The shareholders’ equity participation in Petkim’s capital was as follows in January-March 2016: SOCAR Turkey Petrokimya AS – 51 percent, SOCAR Turkey Enerji AS – 5.3216 percent, while 43.6784 percent was in free float.
