Turkish company intends to increase investments in Georgia

Turkey's TCF GEORGIA company is interested in making additional investments in Georgia, especially in expanding the processing enterprises and storage industry, the company's Director General Osman Pekbuyuk (Gogitidze) said.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Georgia's Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yuri Nozadze.

TCF GEORGIA is one of the largest companies for the reception of citrus fruits in Georgia, the country's Ministry of Agriculture told Trend on Jan.17.

The company purchased 1,000 metric tons of products in the last season.

"The development of agriculture is one of the priorities for Georgian government," Nozadze said. "Many important projects aimed at supporting farmers and investors are being implemented under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture."

He briefed the guests about the investment climate in the country and additional export opportunities given to Georgia by the free trade agreement with EU.

The sides held detailed discussions about the prospects for development of greenhouse industry in Georgia.
