By Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:

Iranian water and power companies are carrying out $6.5 billion worth projects outside the country, said Bahram Nezamolmolki, director for export development at Iran's Ministry of Energy.

He explained that 90 percent of Iran's engineering exports lie in the water and power sectors, Mehr news agency reported Jan. 13.

However, he regretted that the exporters aren't receiving facilities and bonuses that they deserve under laws, and that discourages them.

A comprehensive plan for boosting non-oil exports envisions increasing Iran's engineering service export to $17 billion by the end of the next Iranian fiscal year (March 20, 2017).

This figure is to hit $23 billion by 2020 and $35 billion by 2025.
