Azerbaijan increased natural gas production by 4.4 percent from 17.851 billion cubic meters in 2013 to 18.633 billion cubic meters in 2014, The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) says in its Annual Statistical Bulletin.
Natural gas export increased by 10 percent from 7.009 billion cubic meters to 7.709 billion cubic meters in the reporting period.
Azerbaijan's proven natural gas reserves decreased by 0.6 percent in 2014 to 1.3 trillion cubic meters compared to 1.308 trillion cubic meters in 2013, the OPEC said in the Bulletin.
The main volumes of gas produced in Azerbaijan fall on the largest field Shah Deniz, developed by an international consortium, as well as fields developed by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
