Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR invested $4.487 billion in the projects abroad as of Jan. 1, 2016, the company told Trend June 6.
The largest part of those investments, $3.334 billion, was made in Turkey.
SOCAR said that $414.5 million was invested in the projects in Switzerland, while $386 million accounted for Georgia and $280.8 million was invested in Ukraine.
Another $71.3 million was invested in Romania, added the company.
SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan. It operates over 370 filling stations in Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.
SOCAR is the co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex, Petkim, and other assets in Turkey.
