Following delay in delivery of new devices, the reconstruction of the Garadagh gas distribution station (GDS) will be complete by the end of the year, Azerqazneql Production Association of Azerigas Joint-Stock Company told Trend.
The PA said that the Garadagh GDS had been redesigned. The refurbishment was carried out in the station after a fire and all safety rules were taken into consideration. Outdated equipment with expired exploitation term is replaced with the new one delivered from Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
The installation of new devices will enable the GDS to function in accordance with the advanced standards. Upon completion of work carried out by Azerqaz International in the station there will be conducted a testing and after it will be commissioned.
Garadag GDS will enable to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to Absheron peninsula, including Sumagyit.
