The Greater Baku development plan includes the construction of the highway that will connect the two ports in Sumgait and Alyat.
"New Taghiyev highway, which will include roads and other communication lines, and connect ports in Sumgait and Alyat, will be built and developed in the future." director of design institute Bakıdövlətlayihə under the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan Ilgar Isbatov said during the public discussion of the project on Friday.
He noted that this line of decentralization will relieve the city center.
"This line will be for international and domestic freight," Isbatov said.
