One more group planned to attack several targets in Kazakhstan, including a Russian military unit near the city of Balkhash. Kazakhstan arrested eight members of this group in a special operation, while one of its members blew himself up.

Kazakhstan’s security forces have neutralized eight radical groups which had been planning terrorist attacks since the beginning of 2016.

Kazakhstan has also arrested dozens suspected of terrorism, the National Security Committee said.
