The Uzbek delegation to the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States is to be headed by Uzbek first deputy prime minister, finance minister, Rustam Azimov, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said Nov. 1.

The meeting will be held on November 2-3 in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek.

“The heads of Government of the SCO Member States will discuss practical issues on cooperation development within the framework of the SCO,” reads the message.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization was established in 2001. The SCO members now are China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Afghanistan, Iran, Mongolia and Belarus are the SCO observer-countries, while Turkey, Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka, Armenia, Cambodia and Nepal are dialogue partners.
