Slovenia is intended to reopen its embassy in Tehran following the implementation of the nuclear agreement and removal of sanctions against Iran, says the country's foreign minister, Irna reported.

'Ljubljana will send its temporary chargé d'affaires to the Iranian capital to reopen Slovenia's embassy,' said Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Viktor Erjavec during a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to the southern central European country, Morteza Darzi Ramandi, on Tuesday.

The time is ripe to enhance our relations with the Islamic Republic and to do this and as a major step we are going to reopen our embassy in Iran, Erjavec said.

The Iranian ambassador on his part described as a constructive measure Slovenia's decision to reopen its embassy in Tehran.

'It is a vital step towards strengthening ties,' Ramabndi said.
