An earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale has hit the Firuzkuh city of Iran's Tehran province, the official website of the country's İRİNN news channel said.

The earthquake occurred at 00:36 local time on July 7, the seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute said.

No casualties or damage have been reported.
