An Azerbaijani officer was wounded as a result of a ceasefire violation by the Armenian armed forces yesterday.
A military source told Trend that the incident occurred outside the Fizuli region on Jan.20. The Armenian armed forces shot Hikmet Rzazade. He has been taken to the hospital.
Rzazade was enlisted from the Jalilabad Region Military Commissariat.
Deputy Defense Ministry Spokesman Teymur Abdullayev confirmed the fact.19-year old Rzazade got injured due to the ceasefire violation by Armenia in the direction of the Ashagi Abdulrahmanli village inn the Fizuli region, he said.
On Feb.20, the Armenian armed forces opened fire to Azerbaijani troops from positions outside the Tapgaragoyunlu village in the Goranboy region at 15:10-15:15 and 22:05-22:25, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
Further, the Armenian armed forces opened fire to Azerbaijani troops from positions outside the Ashagi Seyidahmedli and Ashagi Abdulrahmanli villages in the Fizuli region 15:00-15:05, 21:10- 21:15, 22:05- 22:15, 22:20- 22:35 and 23:20- 23:40, the Ministry reported.
A 21-year-old Azerbaijani soldier Tural Huseynov died on Feb. 20 when the Armenian armed forces violated the ceasefire regime.
