The level of development achieved by Azerbaijan in recent years, was crowned with perfectly organized Eurovision song contest that was watched not only by Europe but also by the whole world, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Cemil Cicek said Friday at a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA).
The 57th Eurovision Song Contest was held in Baku in May.
Cicek also congratulated Azerbaijan on its election in October 2011 as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, Anadolu Agency reported.
According to him, Azerbaijan will successfully convey the Turkic world's voice to the Security Council.
