A new Turkish ambassador to Georgia has been appointed, Turkish newspaper Hurriyet Daily News reported today.

Former spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Levent Gumrukcu became the new Turkish ambassador to Georgia, according to the newspaper.

The newspaper reported that the former Turkish consul in St. Petersburg, Tanju Bilgich was appointed press-secretary for the foreign ministry.
