The three-day large-scale military exercises involving ground forces and combat aircraft will begin in Iran on Oct. 29. The exercises will take place in Gilangerb area to the west of Kirmanshah province, Iranian news agency MEHR said today.
The agency calls these exercises as "unprecedented" in scale. It reported that a meeting of commanders of the units was held in Gilangerb area to coordinate Army and Air Force on October 25.
The purpose of the exercises is to increase the combat training level.
