Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili concerned about stopping of Kars - Akhalkalaki railway.
The only project that the government is working hard is the road that connects with Russia, Mikheil Saakashvili noted on the meeting with the parliamentary majority on Monday.
"A few days ago, when two days found out that I was coming, there was put the workers, which put on new forms. Today, they did not know that I was coming, and there was not any worker. There were only two trucks on the excavation. But the only way that works go on is the road to Lars, connecting with Russia, a railway connecting with Europe almost stopped, "- Saakashvili said.
According to him, this railway was to be completed this year, although given the current rate, the completion of the project will require a minimum of three years.
"No less dangerous is the fact that I have seen in the construction of a bypass railway in Tbilisi. on the project of the century in Tbilisi - the transfer of railway had spent more than 200 millions. Transferring of railway will turn Tbilisi into a completely different city. Traffic jams virtually disappear. This railway is almost ready made 9 tunnels and several long trestles. But the government officially closed it (the project), just because it was done by us,"- Saakashvili said.
