The Mayors of Batumi and Jurmala Giorgi Ermakov and Gatis Truksnis formalized a memorandum on the cities' twinning Nov. 27, the Georgian presidential administration said.
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and his Latvian counterpart Andris Berzins attended the event.
The Latvian delegation, which included the representatives of the executive bodies and the business circles of the country, arrived in Tbilisi on Nov. 25.
