14:33 (UTC+04:00) Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has said the explosion in the country's Mardin province is a terrorist attack and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist group stands behind it, reports the TRT Haber news channel.

The prime minister noted that the death toll as a result of the terrorist attack has reached three.

Turkey will continue to fight terrorism despite anything, added Yildirim.

13:48 (UTC+04:00) Two people were killed and 20 wounded in the explosion, according to the preliminary information, reports the TRT Haber news channel.

A nearby building was also damaged.

The wounded have been taken to the nearest hospitals.

Turkish authorities have not yet commented on the incident.

13:34 (UTC+04:00) A police station in the Turkish south-eastern province of Mardin has been hit in a car bomb attack, reports the Sabah newspaper.

Reportedly, there are casualties, but their number has not been specified. Fire fighters and ambulance cars have arrived at the scene.

According to the preliminary reports, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist group carried out the attack.

A large-scale operation against the PKK began in the province following the incident.
