Smart Systems Technology modernized the automated banking system of Smart Bank, Subhan Garagezov, marketing-manager of the company, told Trend on Friday.
Garagezov said that International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and Unicode were used in the new fourth version of the system in accordance with requirements of banks and instructions of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA decision, IBAN will be applied in inter-bank calculations on any intra-bank and customer accounts from September 2012.
"At present, Smart Bank 4 is introduced in TuranBank and Agrarkredit non-banking credit organization," he said. "The talks on the system modernization are being held with NBC bank and the Caucasus development bank. The system will be modernized in other banks where it has been already installed."
Smart Bank system was developed on the basis of management system of Oracle database. Smart Bank can work as a customer-server, as well support Application Server. The core was created with the support of scripts and plugins. The system will completely automate all type of banking activities.
