Commission to be Established in Azerbaijani Parliament due to Genocide of Azerbaijani People

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Ilhamghizi / MP Sabir Rustamkhanly informed that the a commission will be established in the Milli Mejlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) and an address to the world public will be adopted due to 31 March, the day of genocide of the Azerbaijani people.

A document will be adopted in order to make it clear one more time to the world community how tragic the events are for Azerbaijan. The document will include the facts on the genocides committed in 1905-1907 and 1918, as well as Khojali genocide of 1992.

Rustamkhanly noted that in 1918 the National Government of the People Republic of Azerbaijan established a commission due to the genocide which verified the events.

"Some of the documents remained safe. During the People Republic the genocide of 1918 was given juridical and political estimation. The Milli Mejlis will make the statesment on 30 March as usually," the MP added.
