Georgia, Tbilisi, April 3 / Trend , S. Kirtskhalia/ U.S. frigate USS KLARKING's arriving in the Batumi port is a "demonstration of Georgia-U.S. military cooperation", Georgian Defense Minister David Sikharulidze said.
Defense Minister and his delegation took a trip to the vessel and got acquainted with it together with the captain.
U.S. frigate has been in Batumi for four days. Georgian coastguard officers are receiving training on the vessel's board. USS KLARKING and Georgian coastguard officers will hold a friendly football match during the visit.
U.S. vessel will leave Batumi today.
Sikharulidze said the U.S. frigate's visit is also "guarantee for stability in the NATO space."
