Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug. 28 / Trend T.Hajiyev /

The Azerbaijani pro-governmental party Ana Veten (Motherland) wants to participate in elections within a bloc, Party Chairman Fazail Agamali told Trend today. .

"About 10 days remains to the election campaign. The political process can move in such a direction that we can create a bloc with those parties, which are close to us on their activities and with whom we share common goals. It is not excluded," Agamali said.

Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for Nov. 7. The elections are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.

Agamali named several parties, with which his party may create a bloc.

"We may create a bloc only with those parties that have the same opportunities as our party, so that we do not spend our full potential for their victory. We see the Democratic Reforms Party and Social Welfare and Civil Unity Party among such parties," Agamali added.

The Ana Veten Party has been founded in 1991by Fazail Agamali who is running the party at present. The party is represented by two MPs in the parliament.
