PRESIDENT TOOK PART IN LAYING FOUNDATION OF KAZAKH MEDICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended Kazakh region on 11 October 2005 where he took part in laying the foundation of the Medical and Diagnostic Centre. The object is being built on funds of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the total area is 6,000 square meters, Trend reports.

According to the SOCAR President Natig Aliyev, 3million USD was required for purchasing of equipment and about $2 million for construction works. He said, 10 more similar medical centres will be built in other regions of Azerbaijan and the next one is possibly in Zakataly.

Addressing the public, Aliyev noted there is stability in Azerbaijan and nobody is allowed to destroy it. Speaking of the forthcoming parliamentary elections the President stressed, the record number of candidates had been registered for the first time, over 2,000 candidates and it means there were no problems with registration. В"I am confident on 6 November the Azerbaijani people will make their choice. They are to elect deputies which will take care of the welfare of their voters”, Aliyev stated. At the same time, no one will be allowed to violate laws. “The democratic process is taking place in Azerbaijan but everybody must remember there is law which must not be violated”, Aliyev stated.

The head of the state noted, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline goes through Kazakh area and it will be beneficial for all people. He also noted the priority task is the development of the regions. В"Kazakh is one of the remotest areas therefore, it needs a special attention. He also noted the construction works for the new Olympic complex started in Kazakh.

В"Despite the minimal salary increased three times, it is not sufficient. If earlier the Azerbaijan’s budget was less than $1 billion, the 2006 budget is about $4 billionВ" - the head of the state said. He also noted, from the moment of the presidential elections about 300,000 jobs opened in the country.
