Any state or foreign delegation should know, that any trip to the occupied by Armenians Nagorny Karabakh, which is an integral part of Azerbaijan, without the countrys government permission is illegal, the head of the informational policy department under the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry Tair Tagizade told Trend, commenting on the recent visit of the Luxemburg parliamentary delegation to Nagorny Karabakh.
According to him, by information available, the head of the delegation Frank Engel is not a member of the Luxemburg Parliament any more, but represents a private group. However, it changes the situation drastically he stressed, and added, the Azerbaijani side will undertake certain steps in this respect. We will continue bilateral contacts with Luxemburg, he noted; in case it is confirmed it a private group but not an official delegation I do not see any need to put forward the note, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry official spokesman said in a statement.
As Tagizade noted, the Azerbaijan Republic raises the question on recognition of its territorial integrity, acknowledged by the international community before the foreign partners.
It should be reminded, the Luxemburg delegation held a number of meetings with the leadership of the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh Republic within the framework of its visit to Nagorny Karabakh.
