Zonal meeting were held in several regions of Azerbaijan to improve the delivery of electric power, gas and water, Trend reports. There are problems with the collection of the payments for the delivered gas and electricity, the first Vice-President of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov briefed the media on October 20.
But there is other side of this problem. The electric meters haven't been installed in many regions, and the consumers don't know how much they have to pay. Each region defined an amount for itself and paid it off, Eyyubov emphasized.
According to the order of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, meters will be installed in all regions to systemize this process. This process will be fully completed by the end of the year and from 2007, the consumers will pay for the real volume of the delivered electric power, the Vice Primer underlined.
