Azerbaijan, Baku / Т corr K. Zarbaliyeva / Nazim Alakbarov, the Deputy Minister for Justice and the Head of the Penitentiary Service, informed on 30 March that a new reformatory will be put into exploitation in Nakhchivan in 2007 Summer.
Alakbarov noted that the construction work in the reformatory has been completed. The supply of the reformatory with technical equipment is under current consideration. The reformatory is intended for 450 convicts both men and women, as well as under-aged.
The reformatory is built in accordance with the European standards and will have an isolation cell.
The construction of reformatories in Sheki and Lankaran regions is unde way.
