Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend cor. I.Alizadeh / MP Siyavush Novruzov, the deputy executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, stated on 5 June that there are a lot of people who receive a religious education in Azerbaijan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey and it will be better to appoint them to religious positions through certification.
"These people should correctly implement religious ideas, as their opinion has a great impact over the public," the MP stated.
Novruzov stressed that before Azerbaijani citizens did not have the opportunity either in this country, or abroad to receive a religious education. Now, the situation has changed.
Changes and supplements should be injected to the Law on Free Religion to implement these issues.
