Azerbaijan imported approximately 6,237 cars in January-February, 42.1 percent less than in January-February 2009, the State Statistics Committee said.
The State Statistics Committee said that the total value of imported cars in January-February amounted to $50.6 million, which is 27.2 percent less than that of 2009.
Azerbaijan imported 600 units of trucks in January and February, which is 70.9 percent less than in 2009. The total value of imported cars totaled about $15.4 million, which is 41.2 percent less than last year.
The republic imported 168 buses in January-February, which was 2.3 percent less than in January-February 2009. Import made more than $ 8.4 million, which is 10.7 percent less than in January-February of last year.
