Prices of export, import products increase in Kazakhstan

Prices of Kazakhstan’s export products increased by 9.3 percent and import products by 5.2 percent since December 2016 as of September 2017, the Ministry of Economy of Kazakhstan said in a message Nov. 13.

The export price of Kazakh ferroalloys increased by 44.1 percent since the beginning of the year. The export prices of copper increased by 20.4 percent, zinc by 17.3 percent, coal by 13 percent, oil by 9.6 percent and lead by 9.2 percent.

At the same time, the export prices of manganese ores decreased by 25.3 percent, wool by 3.1 percent, and wheat by 2.4 percent.

The prices of imported products also increased. The products with higher prices are coffee (19 percent), tea (13.8 percent), dairy products (11.9 percent), pasta (7.7 percent), margarine (4.9 percent).

The prices of leather increased by 9.9 percent, paper by 8.8 percent and wood by 7.7 percent.
